Education
Sarah is an associate in HSSM’s Commercial Litigation and Appellate Advocacy groups. Prior to joining the firm, Sarah clerked for Chief Judge Chris Dillon of the North Carolina Court of Appeals, where she served as the Senior Clerk during her second year. During her clerkship, Sarah gained experience with a wide range of substantive and procedural law across the state of North Carolina. Her time at the Court honed her analytical, research, and writing skills, and provided valuable “behind-the-scenes” insight into the judicial process. She brings this unique perspective to her practice, drawing on the advocacy she observed to help clients navigate complex litigation strategically, always with an eye toward potential appellate issues.
Sarah attended law school at the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she served as the Senior Articles Editor on the North Carolina Journal of Law & Technology and was recognized for her commitment to participating in pro bono projects. Prior to law school, Sarah attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she double majored in American History and Sociology.
Sarah grew up in Charlotte and is excited to practice law in her hometown. As a double Tar Heel, Sarah is an avid fan of Carolina athletics. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys Pilates, spending time with friends and family, keeping up with pop culture news, and traveling.
Sarah is licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
