Mark Mohr

Mark joined HSSM in 2023 as a member of the Construction Law and Commercial Litigation practice groups. He represents owners, contractors, and design professionals in all aspects of construction litigation. He has tried over thirty cases and brings extensive experience litigating complex matters in state and federal court.

Prior to joining HSSM, Mark worked in the litigation section of Tennessee Valley Authority’s Office of General Counsel. In that capacity, he represented TVA in complex environmental, employment, tort, condemnation, and administration litigation. Representative matters he litigated include cases arising from the Kingston coal ash spill and a case on remand from the U.S. Supreme Court. He also previously worked as a prosecutor for the New York County District Attorney’s Office and worked for the Wisconsin Governor’s Office of Legal Counsel. As an assistant district attorney, he investigated and prosecuted multistate narcotics trafficking, gambling, and money laundering organizations.

Mark earned his law degree from New York University and his undergraduate degree from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He double majored in political science and business administration while being a member of UNC’s varsity swimming and diving team.

Outside of the office, Mark enjoys running, hiking, watching UNC basketball, and spending time with his children.
