HSSM Welcomes Cindy Leone as Of Counsel in the Family Law Department.
Cindy Leone joined the firm in April 2012 and brings a wealth of knowledge and more than 30 years of experience in Family Law. Attorney Cindy Leone has been a family law practitioner since 1981. Ms. Leone is a Board Certified Specialist in the area of family law. She has been Board Certified by the North Carolina State Bar since 1989 when the Bar first certified specialists in the area of family law. Her practice is limited solely to family law. Ms. Leone has an AV rating from Martindale Hubbell signifying that she has “reached the height of professional excellence” and that she “is recognized for the highest levels for skill and integrity.” She has been recognized by her peers as a top lawyer in the field of family law, including Business North Carolina magazine, in its annual Legal Elite for 2012, 2011, 2008 and 2007 and Law & Politics Magazine as a 2009 “Super Lawyer” for Family Law. Ms. Leone has lectured on the subject of alimony for the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division. Ms. Leone obtained her undergraduate degree from Duke University and her JD from Wake Forest University. She has served as vice chair of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Family Law Section and as chair of the Mecklenburg County Bar’s Family Law Section.
