HSSM was privileged to serve as platinum sponsor for the Third Annual Mimosa Breakfast for the Women in Architecture (“WIA”) Committee of AIA Charlotte. The theme of the October 10, 2019 breakfast was “Policy, Politics, and Architecture,” with a panel moderated by Deborah Ryan of UNC Charlotte and consisting of former Charlotte mayor Harvey Gantt; Jane Frederick, FAIA; and Laura Belcher, CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte. HSSM’s own Adrianne Chillemi discussed about the achievements of the HSSM’s women construction lawyers and the importance of groups like WIA in providing networking and advancement opportunities to women in the AEC industry.
