At HSSM we recruit those who are seeking a partnership track and think about that even as early as our summer program. We welcome self-starters who are looking for opportunities to take charge of case files and eventually work toward developing their own clients. We facilitate that growth in a number of ways, by assisting with placement in the local and state bar, encouraging involvement in professional organizations, supporting those who want to get involved in community organizations that go beyond the legal profession, and genuinely celebrating one another’s achievements. Summer Program

Hamilton Stephens Steele + Martin offers an annual Summer Associate Program. We allow split summers, providing approximately eight weeks at the firm. The firm seeks bright, hardworking students with good judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Summer associates work hand-in-hand with HSSM partners and associates, who are dedicated to ensuring their continued professional development. The firm’s summer associates participate in research projects, observe hearings, mediations, depositions, and are involved a wide variety of other assignments. A team of partner and associate mentors will also provide individualized feedback and coaching.
