Education
Kristin is an associate in Hamilton Stephens’ Bankruptcy, Restructuring + Debtor/Creditors’ Rights practice group. Kristin attended law school at the George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School where she served as the Associate Articles Editor on the George Mason Law Review and volunteered in the Bankruptcy Assistance Clinic.
Prior to attending law school, Kristin graduated from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business, with a B.S. in Business Administration and a minor in East Asian Languages and Culture with an emphasis in Mandarin. During college, Kristin worked for an NBA team and served as a committee member of USC’s Sports Business Association.
While attending law school as an evening student, Kristin worked as the Legal Operations Manager for an industry leading cloud-based engagement platform provider where she reported directly to the General Counsel and gained experience in the legal aspects of the SAAS industry.
Before joining Hamilton Stephens, Kristin worked as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Laura T. Beyer, Chief Judge in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of North Carolina. During her clerkship, Kristin gained extensive experience with a wide variety of bankruptcy litigation including complex mass tort asbestos bankruptcy cases.
Kristin originally grew up in the Washington, D.C. area, but now resides in Charlotte, North Carolina. Outside of work Kristin enjoys reading, traveling, and playing pickleball. She is an avid fan of the Ferrari Formula One team, the Minnesota Vikings, the USC Trojans, and the Washington Nationals.
*Kristin is currently licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia. She is not currently licensed in North Carolina and her application for admission to the North Carolina State Bar is pending.
