  • Mitchell Kelling’s practice is devoted to family law, representing clients throughout Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Iredell, Union, and the surrounding counties.

    Mitchell is certified as a family law specialist by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization as well as a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She is also an American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Certified Arbitrator.

    Mitchell regularly focuses on issues relating to:

    • Alimony
    • Child Custody
    • Child Support
    • Equitable Distribution of property
    • Litigation of financial disputes
    • Mediation and arbitration of financial disputes
    • Post-nuptial Agreements
    • Premarital Agreements
    • Separation Agreements and property settlements

    Mitchell has also been active in the North Carolina Bar Association Family Law Section. She was previously Chair of the Section and served for many years as co-chair of the Continuing Legal Education Committee.

    When Mitchell is not at the office, she can be found on the tennis courts or traveling. She also enjoys spending time with her chocolate labrador, Lola and her rescue German shepherd/labrador, Ezekiel (“EZ”).
