On February 9, 2017, HSSM Associate, Nancy Litwak, in conjunction with several other area attorneys, presented at a Mecklenburg County Bar Association Continuing Legal Education (“CLE”) course entitled “Business Torts: Deception, Fraud & the Usual Suspects.” Nancy’s portion of the CLE presentation was on Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices in the context of business litigation. Nancy presented on the basic elements of and exemptions from the claim, the parties’ entitlement to damages under the relevant statutory provisions, recent legal developments involving the claim, and the ways in which the claim intersects with other torts, breach of contract, trade secret misappropriation, and the employment arena.
Nancy was also named 2017 Legal Elite in the area of Construction Law and 2017 Young Gun by her peers. HSSM is proud of all of Nancy’s accomplishments and her contribution to the legal community.
