Partner Erik Rosenwood was the co-planner for a joint session of the North Carolina Bar and South Carolina Bar Construction Law Sections, which was held on September 27th at the historic Grove Park Inn, in Asheville, NC. Lawyers from the two states gather for a joint program every two years, with each state bar taking turns playing host. This year, the program focused on trial tactics and strategy when trying construction defect cases to juries, judges or arbitrators. Erik commented that “construction cases are often complex and sometimes dry. This was a great opportunity to hear from some of the best in the business on how to use technology and trial skills to persuade and build interest in your case.”
Erik and partner Ben Martin are also members of the Council for the Construction Section of the North Carolina Bar. Partner Allen West was recently named Chairman of the Construction Section’s ABA Liaison Committee.
